Amherst Youth Lacrosse

Amherst Lacrosse and Souhegan Valley Lacrosse Inc.

Amherst Lacrosse is the youth lacrosse program for Amherst and Mont Vernon communities, which feed into Souhegan High School. The youth programs are run by Amherst Recreation Department with consultation and support from Souhegan Valley Lacrosse as a 501(c)3 charitable organization dedicated to making youth sports accessible for families across southern New Hampshire..

Amherst Lacrosse offers:

Competitive Travel Teams.  Boys and girls Spring lacrosse teams for grades 1-6 playing in the New Hampshire Youth Lacrosse Association (NHYLA) League.

Development League. A non-travel boys and girls in-house development league for children in grades K-2. A great way to explore the 'medicine game' of lacrosse without the commitment level of our travel teams.

US Lacrosse Trained Coaches.  We require all coaches to participate in the US Lacrosse Coaches Training Program. We have US Lacrosse Bronze Level, Gold Level, and Platinum Certified Coaches on our responsible, adult coaching staff.

US Lacrosse Certified Officials. All of our referees must attend and maintain certifications through the USA Lacrosse Referee Certification Program.

Souhegan Valley Lacrosse (SVL) is a local community-driven 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to support and grow the game of lacrosse in the Souhegan Valley. In addition to supporting the youth programs, SVL supports local high school programs through fundraising activities and fosters a direct connection between high school coaches and Amherst youth programs.  SVL also hosts programs and events including a Spring Jamboree, the NHYLA Festival and  Winter Skills programs.
